Secondly, the project aims to inform the Council, ministries, the Nordic Centre for Welfare and Social Issues (NVC) and higher education institutions about successful student mobility and guide how to offer appropriate support to students, when and where needed. The proposed research aims to respond to the seven questions defined in the invitation and background materials with an emphasis on what and how the Nordic countries, autonomous areas, and their higher education institutions can and should do better.
This project will be a development project, with input both from research and from praxis. The key questions addressed are:
- What, according to students with disabilities, constitutes a successful and meaningful student mobility experience?
- How can Nordic cooperation enhance student mobility and necessary support measures to make student mobility successful?
- What are the main obstacles for Nordic mobility for students with disabilities?
- What are the main promoters for Nordic mobility for students with disabilities?
The project partners are universities and organisations represented in the NNDC network (Nordic Network of Disability Coordinators).
The project report is expected to be submitted by 15.09.2016.
